Hey, art lovers! Get ready to have your minds blown because The Venetian Macao has teamed up with the Tokyo-based art collective, teamLab, to unveil some incredible new art installations at the teamLab SuperNature Macao exhibition. From June 1st, visitors will get to experience immersive new installations that are sure to leave them feeling inspired and amazed.
The three new artwork spaces are seriously cool. For starters, there’s the Floating Flower Garden: Flowers and I are of the Same Root, the Garden and I are One. This interactive garden artwork features over 8,000 living orchids that bloom in mid-air as if floating in space. Visitors can approach the curtain of orchids and watch as the flowers slowly begin to float upwards, creating an opening for people to enter inside. Once inside, the orchids will descend again behind them, encouraging visitors to become one with the flowers.
Then there’s the Massless Clouds Between Sculpture and Life installation. A giant, white cloud-like mass floats in space, and the sculpture neither sinks down to the floor nor reaches the ceiling, floating as though transcending the concept of mass. Visitors can physically enter the sculpture; if it breaks, it will repair itself, just like a living thing.
But that’s not all! Visitors can also watch ‘Flowers Bloom in an Infinite Universe inside a Teacup’ in the EN TEA HOUSE installation. When tea is poured, flowers bloom inside the teacup, and when the cup is lifted, the flowers scatter and spread outside the cup. Flowers bloom infinitely as long as there is tea. When the tea is gone, the flowers disappear with it. It’s a truly mesmerizing & captivating experience.
Located at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo, teamLab SuperNature Macao is an immersive interactive experience that features cutting-edge art installations in a massive and complex, three-dimensional space. With over 5,000 square meters of labyrinthine floor space, visitors will feel like they’re exploring a whole new world.
